When I was shooting the "2 Tempos” project, I was looking for authenticity, the signs of ageing and long use of those motorcycles or the respect for the original when they were restored.
But I couldn’t avoid the curiosity of a customisation movement among those two strokes bikes. It was also a new life for those old motorcycles, customised by a younger generation that found a lot of interest on these small and low power engines. But there was so much creativity and pride in many of those that … it became a project of its own, a past / future crossover.
